Vitamin A has numerous benefits, including benefits to your skin health and overall appearance. Vitamin A is natural and effective in keeping your skin young-looking, vital and healthy.
Carrots, broccoli, beets, along with a few other foods are good sources of Vitamin A. The good news is that you don’t necessarily have to eat these foods in order to experience the benefits of Vitamin A. You can rub it right into your skin for it to be beneficial.
Vitamin A can be found in many different foods, but it can also be rubbed directly into your skin for a homemade beauty product
The following are some of the benefits of Vitamin A:
• Regenerate your skin
• Reduce the signs of aging
• Help reduce fine lines and wrinkles
• Lighten up dark circles under your eyes
• Help your skin grow new cells
• Help with saggy skin to make it more tight
• Help with dry skin by restoring moisture
• Create a healthy skin color, diminishing skin discolorations
• Smooth out rough skin
• Help to prevent outside and inside threats that will make your skin age
Carrots are packed full of Vitamin A and are used in many anti-aging products. You can use carrot juice to make your own anti-aging skincare products.
Cook two to three carrots and then mash them up into a pulp. Mix the pulp from the carrots with four teaspoons of honey (honey is an excellent moisturizer). Apply to your skin and let sit for ten minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and gently pat dry with a towel.
You can add oatmeal and apple cider vinegar to the mixture for other anti-aging benefits. Apple cider vinegar will help fight acne and oatmeal is an anti-inflammatory, so it will reduce puffiness.
You can also make an avocado and carrot facial mask by scrubbing and peeling a carrot. Cook it in boiling water for 15 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and then place the cooked carrot in a blender or food processor. Add a peeled ripe avocado and two to three teaspoons of honey. Add one tablespoon of heavy cream and one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Puree all ingredients until well-blended. The mixture should be smooth and creamy.
Washing your face and neck as you normally would. Smooth the mask over your face and neck, but avoid the areas around your mouth and eyes. Leave the mixture on your face for 15 to 20 minutes and then wipe it off with a warm damp cloth. Rinse with warm water and pat dry your skin with a soft towel.
