An anti-aging serum may be necessary for protecting your skin from fine lines and wrinkles as well as prevention from wrinkles occurring in the first place.
In 2007, an anti-aging serum called Protect & Perfect (Serum No. 7) caused quite a stir in London, flying off the shelves in less than two hours. Nightline had been given a tip that the serum was arriving and people were literally standing in line for hours.

Dr. Rachel Watson, a renowned dermatology researcher specializing in sun damage and skin aging endorsed Serum No. 7 in an academic paper and then on television.
This product has been available in stores since 2004, but quickly gained a small, if not most enthusiastic following. It was eventually featured on BBC in a documentary which analyzed the claims of beauty products where it appeared on the screen for less than three seconds. After that, it was on! In just two days, a 21-week stock of the product sold completely out.
The supplier was unable to keep up with the demand, manufacturing 1,500 bottles per hour. There are many different products making claims for anti-aging, but this product has gained tremendous success.
As with many anti-aging products, Protect & Perfect contain Retinol, which is a vitamin meant to stimulate the skin cell activity. It also contains Tretinoin, which is a powerful and expensive prescription drug used to treat acne and deep wrinkles.
Watson did a clinical study using the serum with 10 volunteers. The serum was applied to their sun-damaged forearms and biopsies were taken on day one and day twelve. The results showed significant improvement and after just 12 days, there were no fibrillin strands, which give skin elasticity. The reason for the results are unclear, but the results didn’t lie. A six-month clinical trial was implemented and the buying frenzy continued as bottles flew off the shelves and the demand for the serum steadily grew.
It is important to search for products that contain Retinol. Vitamin, E, A and C are all very good for your skin and can be taken internally as well as applied externally.
Protect your skin in any way you can, avoiding direct sunlight or wearing sunscreen and reapplying often. Stay well-hydrated, drinking lots of water and make sure you’re following a good skincare regimen in the morning and at night. Follow a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables and make sure you’re getting enough sleep.
