What Is Ayurveda And How Can It Prevent And Treat Wrinkles?

For many women, wrinkles are one of the worst signs of aging. We can treat wrinkles cosmetically and from the inside out, but these types of treatments may lead to harmful side effects.

To begin with, we should practice wrinkle and skin aging prevention and from there, we should start with the simple, non-harmful and basic steps necessary to prevent and reverse the signs of aging.

Ayurveda home remedies for treatment and prevention of wrinkles are highly effective and definitely should be considered

Below, I’d like to talk about some Ayurveda home remedies for wrinkles.

  • Make a paste using turmeric and sugarcane juice.  Apply this mixture to the wrinkled skin to help treat wrinkles.
  • Apply pure castor oil on the wrinkled skin every night before going to bed.
  • Perform a gentle face massage on the wrinkles with coconut oil every night before bed.
  • Each morning before you brush your teeth, eat one teaspoon of ginger and honey, mixed together to form a paste.  You can make the paste in advance and preserve by storing in the refrigerator.
  • Strain the juice from a cucumber and apply on a regular basis to the entire face for 10 minutes, washing off with cool water.  This will be most effective after being done for three weeks.
  • Apply a mixture of fresh pineapple and fresh apple juice to your face daily.  This application will help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while making your skin look younger.
  • Steep rosemary leaves in two cups of water, boiling until it is reduced by half.  Reduce the heat and add half a cup of brandy to the tea.  Strain the mixture and apply twice per day on the wrinkled areas of the face.


Make sure you’re drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin and body well hydrated.  Eat a diet full of fruits and vegetables and make sure you are getting enough Vitamin C and Vitamin E.  Avoid smoking and eat lots of tomato paste.  It is important to get enough sunshine, but only about 15 to 20 minutes a day and only during the summer months.  You should still be wearing sunscreen and protective head and eyewear.

If you wear makeup each day, make sure you are properly washing, cleansing and toning your face before applying the makeup and at the end of the day before going to bed.  Leaving makeup on your face overnight can lead to wrinkles and further skin aging.
