What Affect Does Alcohol Have On Your Face: Wrinkle Prevention

If you’ve noticed wrinkles on your face, you may be wondering why. Sometimes wrinkles are considered to be a natural part of getting older, but for some individuals, the wrinkles come too early and they’re left wondering why they have more wrinkles than women in their 50’s and 60’s.

There are a lot of things that contribute to wrinkles in our faces and overall bodies.  Getting older is one part of it, but it’s really how well (or badly) we treat ourselves that matter the most.  It’s important that you protect your skin from the harsh elements and properly moisturize and clean your skin daily, but what you put into your body is also important.

Drinking too much alcohol on a regular basis can cause many different health problems and it can cause your face and body to wrinkle

Experts agree that you should avoid drinking alcohol within three hours of going to bed.  Alcohol consumption increases the risk for leaks in the capillaries, which allows more water in and may cause sagging and puffiness.  Capillary leakage is also increased when you are lying down.

If you drink large amounts of alcohol over a period of time, you risk damaging your liver, which can produce a hormonal imbalance.  If you drink more than 2 drinks per day, you are abusing alcohol.

Alcohol contains toxins that damage a lot more than just your liver; they also damage your skin.  The bottom line is that alcohol abuse can create a lot of health problems for you and can create wrinkles too.

You should also avoid drinking any liquid through a straw as this action puts stress on your face just like smoking does and can also create wrinkles.

In addition to avoiding alcohol abuse and smoking, you should also protect your skin when you go in the sun by wearing hats and other protection as well as wearing sunscreen.  Your daily skincare regimen should include all the proper steps to skincare, including washing, cleansing, toning, exfoliating and moisturizing and should be completed twice a day.  If you wear makeup, you should be going through your skincare regimen before putting your makeup on.  Try to find a foundation that has sunscreen in it.  It’s important to protect your skin in the daytime even if you can’t see the sun.  The sun is still damaging even on cloudy days or when you’re sitting in your car.

You should be washing your makeup off at the end of the day each night before you go to bed.  Going to bed with makeup on ages your skin faster.

Should we really be taking advice from a source whose author could not even spell "effect" correctly.
